Georgetown has rescheduled its annual chlorine rinse of the municipal water system to August 3 through September 3, shifting the maintenance window to “better coordinate with neighboring utilities and reduce customer confusion,” according to a city press release.

First Texas Bank sees a rise in fake money in business deposits

Businesses across Central Texas are increasingly depositing prop money that resembles U.S. currency, according to First Texas Bank, which says its tellers in Georgetown and other branches have seen a noticeable rise in the fake bills over the past three months.

Georgetown staff proposes $1.61 billion budget for upcoming fiscal year

Georgetown is looking at a $1.61 billion total budget for Fiscal Year 2027, about $310 million higher than the year prior. Of proposed budget expenditures, $733 million will go to city operations and $876 million is designated for investment in capital infrastructure.
