    Taylor's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday observance was held in the Taylor City Hall auditorium on Monday, January 15. The Reverend Dr. Anthony L. Watson, Sr.,  pastor at The First Baptist Church of Taylor, was the Master of Ceremonies.

    Cold and icy weather prompted cancellation of the city's MLK march, and most other events around the county, but not the indoor celebration in Taylor.

    Approximately 50 people attended. Today would've been Dr. King's 95th birthday.
