Georgetown association maintains Black history, brings people together

In the 1970s, a group of volunteers came together as the The Georgetown Cultural Citizen Memorial Association to take care of the Afro-American Citizens Memorial Garden Cemetery on Memorial Drive. The final resting place for many in Georgetown’s Black and Hispanic community, many of the graves were unmarked.
