Mental health clinic Family Care Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Cedar Park on Tuesday.

Located on Medial Parkway near the Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, the building will offer patients with a wide range of mental health treatments.

“Cedar Park residents now have a new choice for the mental health support they need, right around the corner,” said Jamie Stobaugh, Cedar Park clinic director. “With our newest location, we are excited to assist the Cedar Park community with therapy, medication management, transcranial magnetic stimulation and more.”

Services also include counseling, child play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy, according to the press release.

Additionally, the facility offers Transcranial magnetic stimulation, which is a Food and Drug Administration-approved treatment for depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Patients who participate in the treatment have a 65 percent success rate, according to the clinic.

"The ribbon cutting at our Cedar Park clinic exhibits Family Care Center's dedication to delivering transformative mental health care in the Austin metropolitan area,” Regional Director Wesley Stobaugh said. “We are thrilled to have had the honor of sharing this remarkable milestone with our team and the community."
