Georgetown Police Chief Cory Tchida said Monday GPD is working to extradite a Georgia youth identified as the source of the bomb threat that closed Georgetown High School January 29.The date for the extradition, however, is not yet determined, he said.

Federal funding sought for Austin Avenue pedestrian bridges

Georgetown is applying for the federal Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity grant that could help cut the cost of the Austin Avenue Pedestrian and Bicycle bridges. If awarded, it would help cut the city’s project cost by 48 percent.
