Human remains identified in Wilco

Body IDed as missing Conroe resident

Human remains discovered last week are those of Timothy Perez, a Conroe resident in his early 30s. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office released the identity in a Sunday press statement.

The sheriff’s office announced October 11 that skeletal remains were found north of State Highway 45 and Mopac Expressway by a person working in a field. Criminal Investigations Commander John Foster said there were no apparent signs of criminal activity, but that the remains had been there for “an extended period of time.”

The remains were transported to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office, where they were identified as Timothy Perez, a resident of Conroe who has been missing since March. The family of Mr. Perez was notified on October 14.

The Texas State Forensic Anthropology Center has custody of the remains and is assisting the Justice of the Peace in determining the cause of death. They do not suspect criminal activity or foul play.

“Williamson County Sheriff’s Office will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Timothy’s death in order to determine the cause of death and to further assist in providing closure to the family,” Mr. Foster said in a press release.
