Jean Yaggy McIntosh
Jean Yaggy McIntosh February 16, 1937 ~ August 13, 2023
Jean, the daughter of Arther Filmly Yaggy and Mable Frazer Yaggy, was born in Lubbock, Texas, on February 16, 1937. She spent most of her school years in Dallas until her father was transferred to San Angelo in 1953, resulting in her junior and senior high school years there. After graduation from high school she continued her education with an associate’s degree from San Angelo College. She then transferred to Texas Tech for her junior year. A bout with pneumonia and the desire to get married put an end to her formal education. She married Jay Cullen McIntosh on March 28, 1958. Her husband was drafted into the U.S. Army two months later and her travels began. Jean and her family moved 21 separate times before settling in Georgetown in 1979.
Jean was a stay-at-home mom until the kids were of high school age and worked at several jobs for a few years, which included a printing company, a urologist group and as a clerk for a law firm. She retired from paid employment in 1996.
Jean was predeceased by her mother, father and son, Jeffry.
She leaves behind her husband of 65 years Jay McIntosh, daughter Janet Moltz, granddaughter Hannah Moltz, grandson Alexander Moltz. Son, James McIntosh, daughter-in-law Monique (Brown) McIntosh, grandson Michal McIntosh, granddaughter Suzanne Nourani, grandson-in-law Sherwin Nourani and great grandson Adrian Nourani.
A Memorial Service is planned for 10 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the Gabriels Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
