Williamson County Fair and Rodeo ropes-up residents
Third year and counting
The third annual Williamson County Fair and Rodeo will round up residents at the Wilco Expo Center in Taylor from Wednesday, October 25, through Saturday, October 28.
The four-day fair is set to have a carnival, petting zoo, western comedy show, Lumberjack show, live music, a Selena Tribute, a Junior Rodeo and more. Although there will be activities for families throughout the four days, most rodeo events will be on Friday, according to the Wilco Fair and Rodeo website. Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association will perform Friday and Saturday nights in the Expo Arena from 7-9 p.m., followed by music.
Multiple ticket options exist, with different prices for entry to the fairgrounds and for participating in the rodeo.
For Friday and Saturday access to the fairgrounds, rodeo and concert, tickets can be purchased online for $26 for an adult and $10 for children ages 3-12. At the gate the day of the event, prices are $28 for adults and $12 for children.
For those not interested in the rodeo itself, general admission to just enter the fairgrounds can be purchased online is $12 for an adult and $6 for children ages 3-12. At the gate the day of the event, prices are $14 for adults and $7 for children. No general admission tickets are required for Wednesday, and admission is free for veterans on Thursday. Veterans discounts are also available for Friday and Saturday with a valid military I.D.
The fair serves the community by educating about agriculture while maintaining the rodeo traditions in the county, according to the fair’s website.
