Ruth Roberts

1938 — 2023 Ruth Roberts, of Baltimore, Houston and Georgetown, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love on Sunday, October 29. Her children, Shane and David O’Leary, will be celebrating her life in Georgetown in the coming weeks.

Ruth lived vibrantly, unafraid to challenge norms or expand boundaries. She left an impression everywhere she went. Her endeavors were broad and lifelong, with a career ranging from education to medicine, to the arts. She was constantly engaged with volunteer efforts, striving for civil rights advances, nature conservation and nuclear deproliferation policy.

Ruth devoted herself tirelessly, not only to her own endeavors, but also to promoting the paintings and sculptures of her favorite artist and beloved partner, the late Don Snell.

Ruth will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
