Jeremy Emmanuel Tang Diaz

Our son’s name is Jeremy Emmanuel Tang Diaz. We named him after one of God’s prophets, Jeremiah, and because we believe he is a gift from God, we gave him the middle name Emmanuel, which means “God with us.”

On September 11 of this year, an evil wind blew into our house through the backdoor and before we could disarm it, it had already struck Jeremy down.

He fought for 65 days before giving up the ghost November 14, 2023.

Jeremy was a kind and loving boy that practiced the Golden Rule. He was active and was loved by his friends, coaches and teachers.

He is an inspiration to us, because he showed us through his innocence how one should live, as it is written in Matthew 18:3, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.”

And in spite of the unbearable pain we feel at times, we are comforted to know that our Jeremy, still under the age of accountability and who lived with us in Christ, and knew him well, is saved into everlasting paradise and will not be subject to the judgment to come and the torment of the underworld.

We also rejoice in this truth, no matter how difficult to bear, that the spirit the LORD sent us, although too soon, has returned to the LORD.

Services are to be held December 9, 2023, at San Gabriel Presbyterian Church in Georgetown, Texas, at 12:30 p.m.
