Barbara Lynn (Frank) Hawks

Barbara Lynn (Frank) Hawks passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, in Georgetown, Texas. She was 82 years old.

Barbara was born October 14, 1941, in San Mateo, California, to Roberta and Howard Frank. As a child, she lived in San Carlos, California, and Seattle, Washington. She graduated from San Luis Obispo High School (California) in 1959 and attended College of the Sequoias before graduating from San Jose State University.

She married Glenn Hawks in 1978. She passed away just a few days before they celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary.

Barbara worked as an administrative assistant and secretary during her career, retiring after 24 years at National Western Life Insurance Company.

Barbara was active in church throughout her adult life and taught Sunday School faithfully for 27 years. She enjoyed camping, painting, crochet, making jewelry, watching wildlife in her backyard, and spoiling her cat. All who knew Barbara will cherish her memory, and she will be greatly missed.

Barbara is survived by her husband Glenn, her sister Linda Ansley, her children from a prior marriage Robin (and Mike) Dilallo and Tim (and Beth) Lord, and Glenn’s children Debbie (and Richard) Bayley, Jeff Hawks and Brian Hawks. She has eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and by Glenn’s daughter Annette Fuentes.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15, at 11 a.m. at River of Life Church (6040 Airport Road) in Georgetown, Texas. There will be no graveside service.
