Lifeguard Flynn Yoder has used his knowledge to teach his sister and nephew about water safety.
The public pools in Georgetown serve as a cooling place for residents during the scorching Texas summers. A common character seen at public pools are the city lifeguards.
With approximately 60 percent high school students, 35 percent college students and 5 percent from older generations, the city’s lifeguards help foster a sense of fun and safety at the pool.
