Nancy Beth Robertson Dudley
Nancy Beth Robertson Dudley
Nancy Beth Robertson Dudley, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 21, 2024, in Austin, Texas, at age 85.
Born on May 27, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Nancy was the cherished daughter of Stewart James and Dorothy Estelle Robertson, who both preceded her in death.
Nancy grew up in Oklahoma City, where she attended Northwest Classen High School and Oklahoma City University. There, she met the love of her life, Bill Dudley. They wed on June 1, 1962, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City and shared 62 beautiful years.
After college, Nancy and Bill moved to California, where she launched her professional career at McDonnell Douglas Corporation. After several years of dedicated work, Nancy eagerly embraced her dream job: mother to Kimberly Renee Dudley. The family spent a decade in California before returning to their roots in Oklahoma and settling in Pryor. There, Nancy and Bill became the proud owners of the Mayes County Abstract Company, which they operated together for over 30 years.
In their retirement, Nancy and Bill relocated to Georgetown, Texas, and then to Austin, Texas, where they enjoyed their golden years together.
Throughout her life, Nancy was widely admired for her enthusiasm, good cheer, and, most of all, her warm and welcoming spirit. Her genuine kindness, big heart, and ever-present smile put everyone at ease when they met her. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Bill Dudley; their cherished dog, Tux; her beloved daughter, Kimberly R. Dudley; her son-in-law, David Todd; her grandsons, Will and Henry Todd; her younger brother, Douglas Stewart Robertson; her sister-in-law, Sula Jane Robertson; and her nephew, Ryan Robertson.
A remembrance and celebration of life service will be scheduled soon. In honor of Nancy’s memory and her deep love for animals, a love that was a significant part of her life, the family kindly requests donations be made to Austin Pets Alive, a cause that was close to her heart. www.austinpetsalive.org
