Jenise Hawley Smith of Georgetown, Texas passed away on Tuesday, July 02, 2024. Born in Lawrence, Kansas, to Dale and Janet Hawley (deceased), of Manhattan, Kansas.
She is survived by her two sisters, Julie Zimmerman and her husband Ken and their daughter Katherine, and Joyce Bright and her husband Paul and daughters, Kristin and Kacey. Also, her husband Bryan Smith, daughter, Marisa Smith, and son, Kyle Smith.
An avid fan and lifelong supporter of Kansas State athletics, she graduated from KSU with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 1984, where she met her husband of 39 years.
A loving wife and proud mother, Jenise’s impact cannot be measured in words. She never met a stranger and was always ready with a smile and a laugh. Her passion for gardening and genealogy was only surpassed by her love and unwavering support for her family and friends.
She will be missed by so many. Goodbyes are only for those with eyes, for those who love with their heart and soul there is no such thing as separation.
