Dorothy Lee Inman

“A Life Well Lived” Dorothy Lee Inman passed away on July 21, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Her final moments were spent peacefully, surrounded by family.

Dorothy was born November 19, 1932, to Robert Jackson Carter and Lucy Mae Carter in  Canyon, Texas. She was the youngest of three children: brother Horace Carter and sister  Mildred Carter. Dorothy was an exemplary mother and human being. She embodied the  best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit and an unending generosity to her  children and grandchildren. She accepted everyone with an open heart, open arms, and a  perpetual smile. She had immense passion for her family. She was known for her joyful  personality and kind spirit. Her lifelong passion was dancing and country music. Dorothy  was adventurous, often exceeding the limits of what one might expect a 90+ year old  woman to be able to do. Her departure is greatly felt by her family and countless others  who loved her deeply. She will be remembered for her fervor for life and all its opportunities. The family ask that she be remembered for the joy she brought to  everyone in life, not the sadness of her passing.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Becky Inman, Randy Inman (Vickie), Tommy Inman  (Courtney), Carter Inman (LaDonna), 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, seven nephews, and two nieces.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob & Lucy Carter,  brother, Horace Carter, and sister, Mildred Carter Smith.

A ceremony will be held at Ramsey Funeral Home, 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78633 on August 3, 2024, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends  there.
