Bonnie L. Moore

Bonnie L. Moore, 91, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Butler, Pennsylvania.

She was born November 22, 1932, in Kaylor, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Leroy Miller and Violet (Dippel) Miller. She had been the manager for a laundromat in Georgetown, Texas, in the 1970s and 1980s.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda (Steve) Sharpe of Rockdale, Texas, and Valerie Kirk of Fort Worth, Texas, a son, Jack (Judy) Moore of Leander, Texas, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Bonnie moved to Georgetown, Texas, in 1976.  She partnered in a restaurant named The Sandwich Grove that was on Eighth street just off the Square.  When the restaurant closed she became the manager of Russell’s laundromat on University Avenue at College Street. She made many life long friends while working there (and maybe not so with a few customers that were scolded for breaking her rules). She eventually moved back to Pennsylvania where she was raised.  She lived in Butler, Pennsylvania, for the last 25 years.

We never know how our choices today will ripple through time and lives.  And we never have ideal choices to select from.  In the end, mom did her best.
