Charlotte Keenan Richards

Charlotte Keenan Richards of Georgetown, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024, surrounded by her family at the age of 86. She was born on January 20, 1938, in Amarillo, Texas, to Charlie Keenan and Nina Barker. She was married to her loving husband of 68 years, Edward Lee Richards, in Amarillo, Texas, on June 5, 1956.

Charlotte was always a caretaker of her family and others. She was a licensed vocational nurse and worked as an operating room tech, and at a physician’s office. She loved her husband Edward with all her heart. Charlotte graduated from Amarillo High School in Amarillo, Texas, in 1956 and married the love of her life, Edward, shortly after graduation. She loved to travel and loved the beach. She had many hobbies including working in the yard. She was a writer for the Liberty Hill paper garden club. She loved playing bridge and had some very close friends in the group. Charlotte is a long-time current member of Crestview Baptist Church in Georgetown, Texas.

She is survived by her husband Edward Richards and her three sons: Kalem Richards and wife Denise of Georgetown, Texas, Lee Richards and wife Brenda of Liberty Hill, Texas, Josh Richards and wife Jaquetta of Taylor, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Skyler Richards and wife Kaite, Jena Garcia and husband Bryan, Talon Richards and wife Michaela, Amy Dittfurth and husband Cade, Morgan Richards, Brandon Leath and wife Leslie, Lindsey Wellman and husband Brad, Amanda Brull and husband Chris. She also has nine great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the Delaney Staff, Georgetown Living Home Health and Concho Hearts Hospice, especially Jennifer Collazos, who provided special care to our mother.

Charlotte will be laid to rest at the Liberty Hill Cemetery in Liberty Hill, Texas.
