Steven Wesley Tredway

Steven Wesley Tredway, a devoted husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, son, uncle, brother and friend, passed away on January 16, at the age of 67.

Born September 22, 1957, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Iris Janice (Crawford) Rhea and Clyde Wesley Tredway, both preceding him in death. 

Steve and Janelle met in 1998 in Austin, Texas, and were married on July 17, 1999, in Durango, Colorado.  Steve then moved back into sales in welding industry.  He was employed by several welding and industrial gas companies and was instrumental in opening the Round Rock Welding Supply store for Dupuy Oxygen & Supply out of Waco, Texas.

Steve concluded his career in the construction industry, serving as an inspector. He distinguished himself in this role, acquiring extensive knowledge and earning multiple certifications. His contributions were notable on various major transportation projects across Texas.  Steve enjoyed the jobs he worked on and made many friends both at work and with those in the campgrounds at his jobsites.

When not working, Steve enjoyed hot rod restoration, hunting, spending time in Lampasas and saltwater fishing.  His love of stray animals has become a legend amongst friends and family, by providing a home to many found during his travels across Texas.

Steve is survived by his wife, Janelle Tredway of Georgetown, Texas, son Steven Wesley (Blair) Tredway, Jr., of Pipe Creek, Texas, step-daughter Brandi (Ben) Beach of Bastrop, Texas, sister Kelisa (Buck) Buchanan of Marble Falls, Texas, brother Tommy (Claudette) Rhea and daughter Heather of Lometa, Texas, brother Brian Rhea of Buda, Texas, grandson Steven Wesley Tredway, III of Lago Vista, Texas, grandson Bradley Tredway of Bandera, Texas, niece Amanda (Zack) Kussad and their three girls of Houston, Texas , brother-in-law Brad (Angelic) Sibley of Gautier, Mississippi, and their four children, and his mother and father in-laws Stan and Carol Sibley of Georgetown, Texas.
