Eliene Gaylor was born on August 10, 1932 ,in Waldron, Arkansas, and departed this life on January 29, 2025, in Georgetown, Texas, three months after her beloved husband, Robert’s passing. She was the daughter of the late Lee and Ellen Ramsey and the daughter-in-law of the late Clifford Gaylor and Edna Newhouse Gaylor. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
After graduation from Waldron High School in 1950, she moved to Prague, Oklahoma, with her parents, where she met the love of her life and his sweet sister. Sue always told her that she was so happy that she married Bob and her. After they were married in Rogers, Arkansas, they lived in Prague until they moved to California and she became a Navy (submarine) wife. Her first job was at See’s Candies in California. Her second was a wonderful mother to three daughters and one son. After moving around the country with Bob’s IBM career, she went on to have her own successful business, Gaylor’s Antieks in Georgetown and Salado, Texas. She enjoyed doing antique shows all over Texas. Eliene enjoyed watching golf after playing in her early years and was proud that one of her grandsons chose the sport for his career. She and Robert also enjoyed their world travels during their marriage and traveling around the U.S. in their RV with their very loved pug, Maggie.
Eliene is predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Gaylor, whom she was married to for 73 years, and her daughter, Cathy Gaylor. She is survived by two daughters, Janice Reeves (Duane), Sheri Wyatt (Mark), one son, Steve Gaylor, one sister-in-law, Sue Gaylor Holmes and one niece Robyn Bottiger (Jeff). She is also survived by five grandsons, three granddaughters, and soon to be seven great-grandchildren.
A service will be held graveside in Prague, Oklahoma, along with her beloved husband, Robert.
