Ronald Dole Phillips Sr.

July 5, 1955 - February 16, 2025

Ronald Dole Phillips Sr. passed away on February 16, 2025. For over two decades in Sun City, Texas, Ron replaced countless water heaters, fans, and appliances, upgraded fixtures in bathrooms and kitchens, and transformed houses into homes, bringing comfort to many residents since 2003 as they knew he would get the job done.

Ron proudly served his country in the Navy, embodying hard work and commitment throughout his life. His skills and dedication as a mechanic and handyman were unmatched, and his contributions to the community will be fondly remembered. Ron enjoyed working on and driving his Corvette, playing golf and card games with Patti and friends, spending time with his brother Roy, and watching his grandson play football. He loved to laugh and had a boisterous voice that let you know when he was in the room. Ron had a strong handshake and never met a stranger. He was always willing to help anyone in need.

Ron is survived by his companion, Patti Tietjen; his only son, Ronald Dole Phillips Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Jenny; and his beloved grandchildren, Jeremiah (21), Gabby (18), and Jessi-Ann (16), who lovingly called him Papa. His family and friends will deeply miss his presence, his unwavering work ethic, and his fierce love for his friends and family.

Ron’s legacy of service and dedication will continue to inspire those who knew him.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at The Oaks, 301 Del Webb Boulevard, on Saturday, March 22, from 9-11 a.m. Light snacks will be served as we gather to celebrate his life.
