Blood donation opportunities upcoming

We Are Blood is partnering with city officials and first responder agencies to host a series of blood drives from now until September 24. 

This collaboration grew out of the need to protect the local blood supply over the Labor Day holiday, when the organization typically sees a dip in donations. Participating donors will receive an exclusive, 2025 Wilco Saves t-shirt and a voucher for an additional treat, according to a news release from WAB.

This year, the cities of Cedar Park, Georgetown, Hutto, Leander, Round Rock and Taylor, along with Williamson County EMS, are all teaming up with We Are Blood to inspire residents to donate blood. 

For Georgetown residents, We Are Blood is set to be in a few locations. 

• Friday, September 5, at the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, 1 Chamber Way, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Friday, September 12, at the Georgetown Parks and Recreation, 1003 N Austin Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
