VA to set up shop in Round Rock
The Department of Veterans Affairs is bringing a new, state-of-the-art medical clinic to Round Rock by winter 2027.
The new $44.5 million Round Rock VA Outpatient Clinic will be managed by the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System and located at 4425 University Boulevard and County Road 110 in Round Rock. Its goal is to enhance health care accessibility for Veterans, according to a news release from the group.
“As one of the fastest growing health care systems in the VA, the new clinic is absolutely necessary to serve our increasing Veteran community,” said Christopher Myhaver, executive director of Central Texas Veterans Health Care System.
The project’s developer is Molasky SES JV, LLC – a joint venture of Las Vegas-based Molasky Development and Omaha-based Specialized Engineering Solutions. The partnership is a Department of Veterans Affairs-certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, focusing on developing new modern healthcare facilities, specifically VA outpatient clinics throughout the country.
The architect for the project is Tessere and the David E. Looper & Company, Inc. will serve as General Contractor.
Williamson County’s Veterans Services Director Michael Hernandez said Wilco currently has approximately 40,000 veterans, that the new VA Outpatient clinic in Round Rock will positively impact.
“Our veteran community is excited that the Department of Veteran Affairs has chosen to continue to invest into health care and supportive services for veterans in Central Texas,” he said in a statement to the Sun. “This clinic will provide additional access to healthcare and supportive services within the VA that can assist our veterans in being successful in navigating the VA healthcare system while not requiring them to have to travel to the Temple VA hospital or the South Austin VA Clinic.”
