Wendy Maldonado was born in San Francisco, California, in 1961. She lived in California until moving to Hawaii with her parents and siblings—her brothers, Chris and John, and her sister, Holly. While in Hawaii, Wendy met Richard, to whom she was married for nearly 45 years. They wed on the island before beginning their life together in Texas.
In Texas, Wendy and Richard raised their four children, Stephanie, Richard Jr., Melissa, and Matthew. Wendy shared her love of books with her children and nurtured their curiosity with her warmth and patience. Alongside raising her family, she served her community with dedication as a nurse at Georgetown Hospital.
Wendy and Richard later enjoyed the peace of country living, spending their days surrounded by nature and the loyal companionship of their dog, Shadow.
Wendy's gentle spirit, caring heart, and charming wit will be deeply missed by her family, including her 11 grandchildren, and by the many friends whose lives she touched. Wendy passed on November, 12, 2025.
