LTC (retired) Kenneth Gene Loudermilk
LTC (retired) Kenneth Gene Loudermilk, born September 26 1944 passed away on March 21, 2026 in Georgetown, Texas, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Ken entered the United States Army in August 1965 and served in Vietnam, followed by numerous assignments and leadership roles across the globe. After a distinguished career, he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1987. He went on to build a successful second career in executive leadership, concluding his professional journey as a Vice President at ManTech Corporation.
He married the love of his life, Ann in 1978. Together they shared 47 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife; his children Jason (Beth), Rachel (Wesley), and Chris (Brandy); grandchildren Marley, Vivian, Michael, Samantha and Bree; and sisters Dawn Meredith, Michelle Smith, and Theresa Goins.
Ken was a man of deep faith and an active member of Holy Trinity Church of Corn Hill.
He loved his family and friends, enjoyed traveling, and brought joy wherever he went. He lived by the belief that life was meant to be enjoyed, often reminding those around him that “Life is good”—and he made sure it was, for everyone lucky enough to know him.
