Ann Gray Taylor Mitteness
Ann Gray Taylor Mitteness (88) went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2025. She was born in Ronceverte, West Virginia, on August 30, 1936, to William and Vera Donovan Taylor. She attended Clifton Forge (Virginia) high school where she was involved in cheerleading and sports. Following that she attended Virginia Tech University where she played basketball. In later years she was involved in the Republican Women’s group in Sun City and loved her family and friends. She attended countless sporting events and activities involving her grandchildren always carrying her “goodie bag,” and she was their biggest fan.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents William and Vera Taylor, her husband Jim Mitteness, her daughter Michelle, and her sisters Gloria Taylor Misner and Mary Taylor Weise.
She is survived by her son Michael and his wife Tamie Mitteness and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
Services will be held at the Oaks Retirement Living in Georgetown (Texas) for her friends and fellow residents and their loving staff on March 14 at 3 p.m. and at the Fellowship Hutto (Texas) on March 15 at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Childfund.org or the Wounded Warrior project.
The family of Ann Mitteness wishes to extend our sincere thanks to The Oaks Retirement Living facility, The Fellowship church, and all who assisted in the planning and preparation for the upcoming services.
