Bennie Davis
Bennie Davis, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away at 87 on March 13, 2024 in Georgetown, Texas.
Bennie grew up in Andice, Texas, graduated from Southwest Texas State, spent time in the army, married Virginia Simms, the love of his life, had three wonderful children, worked for Farmers Home Administration in Comanche, Texas, and then Georgetown, and was fully involved in the Methodist church. In retirement, he and Virginia enjoyed their grandchildren, checking on the cows at the farm, watching lots of sports, and traveling the world.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Virginia, his daughter Susan Hammond and her husband Don of Austin, his son Gary Davis and his wife Laura of Andice, his daughter Gina Ivens and her husband Billy of Boerne, and his four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Craig.
His viewing will be March 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown. His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. at St. John’s Methodist Church in Georgetown followed by a graveside service in Andice.
