Billy Wayne Grizzard Jr.

Billy Grizzard Jr., 44, passed away in his home in Georgetown on February 26 after a two-year battle with cancer. He was born to Irma and Billy Grizzard in Brownsville, Texas, and raised mostly in Killeen, Texas, where he graduated from Killeen High School. He then followed his family to Kansas where he attended college and began his journey in the automotive industry. After a few frozen years, he returned to Texas with some help from his lifelong best friends.

He was a proud and happy Texan throughout his life, cheering on his favorite Texas teams through his love of all sports. Billy frequently attended games, dance recitals and competitions for his children and many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed attending various professional sporting events, concerts and festivals. He spent a lot of his time traveling with his family and making all the memories his lifetime would allow, leaving those around him with memories and stories to remember his legacy. Over the last 10 years he built trusting relationships and earned the title of “honest
mechanic” from many people within his community.

Billy was a friend to all and lived every moment to the fullest. His wife Alanah, and children Madilyn, Cory and Trinity will all miss him dearly along with his mother Irma and sisters, Erica and Anita.

A memorial will be held at Berry Springs park on March 15 at 2 p.m. All who wish to celebrate his life alongside his family and loved ones are welcome to attend.
