Connie Lou Harless Salyer died peacefully at home surrounded by her family in Round Rock, Texas, on Thursday June 20, 2024, at the age of 77 after a lifelong battle with Crohn’s disease.  Connie is survived by her husband, Philip, children Charles, David and wife Tahari, Martin and wife Laci, Kim and husband Brad Baker, along with grandchildren Alyssa Fiorello and husband David, Brittany Baker, Hannah Donahue and husband Mitch, Kelsie Salyer, Ashley and Ross Salyer, Easton and Claire Salyer, along with great-grandchildren Jordan, Skylar and Emery.

Connie was born and raised in Kenedy, Texas, to Olivia Lee Fairchild and Walter J Harless.  She was the youngest of nine siblings and survived by her brother Charles Harless. She was an avid athlete during high school when she met her soulmate, Philip, at a rival basketball game, which became the beginning of a lifelong loving family and marriage of 59 years. After raising four kids as a stay-at-home mom, she then worked for Georgetown ISD as a registrar until her retirement in 2008.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, gardening, reading, and cooking. Connie had a fearless heart and worked tirelessly to care for her family throughout her lifetime.

A graveside service will be held at the Salyer Cemetery located at 1660 County Road 234, Georgetown, Texas, on Saturday, June 29, at noon. A gathering to celebrate Connie’s life will be held directly after the graveside service at a location to be announced with directions provided at the time of the service.
