Dale Hargrove

Dale Hargrove, age 78, of Sun City in Georgetown, TX, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 1, 2026, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Crosbyton, Texas, Dale was a devoted husband to Elizabeth (Betty) Hargrove and the late Frances A. Hargrove.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; sons, Jeffrey Hargrove and Craig (Stacy) Hargrove; his stepchildren, Brian (Sarah) Terrell, Phillip (Katie) Terrell, Janice Posey, James (Tara) Malec, Jeffrey (Terry Lee) Malec, and Jonathan (Erica) Malec; as well as nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also cared deeply for his little dogs, Daisy and Dudley.

Dale made a friend of anyone whom he met. Together with his late wife Fran, Dale raised his stepchildren at the Diamond H Ranch in Hutto, Texas.

Dale enjoyed boating, camping, golf, ranching, and business. He served as president of the Lake Travis Marina Association and was a member of the Red Brangus Cattleman’s Association.

He owned Dale Hargrove RV Center and co-owned S&H Appliances. Known for his sales expertise, Dale's recent work involved assisting clients with AFLAC.

He supported and loved the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys, played senior golf at Blackhawk and Forest Creek, and was a member of Balcones and Georgetown Country Clubs.

A faithful Christian, Dale belonged to The Worship Place in Sun City, living by his motto: “Trust in the Lord and don’t panic.”

Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made in his name to the Furrbaby Food Pantry or Helping Hands, both located in Georgetown, Texas.
