Erno Goran Eiman Whitfield
Erno Goran Eiman Whitfield
Erno Goran “Fish” Eiman Whitfield was born May 30, 2024, at St. David’s Women’s Center of Texas and passed away on June 24, 2024, at Dell Children’s Medical Center from complications of extreme prematurity of birth. In his 25 days of life, Erno never got to do any of the things that most obituaries mention, but, with the assistance of the marvels of modern medicine, he tried as hard as he could to live. Until his last day, the overall trend of Erno’s progress had been one of improvement, but for such a tiny and fragile baby, things can and did go wrong too fast for even the best physicians to heal.
Erno is preceded in death most notably by his great-grandmother Erna Emma (Beckman) Whitfield, in whose honor he was named and with whom he would have shared a birthday had he been born at his originally projected due date. He is survived and mourned by his parents, Summer Eiman and Robert Whitfield; grandparents Norma Eiman (biological,) John Eiman, LoAnn Pham (step), Jessica Manson, and Steve Whitfield; uncle Jeremy Eiman; step-aunts and step-uncles Phoenix and Jay Nguyen and Kimberly and Andrew Vo; and numerous extended family members.
Erno’s funeral service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 2 p.m. at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 393 North Interstate Highway 35, Georgetown, Texas, 78628. There will also be a visitation the evening before from 6-8 p.m. at the same place.
