Gary Christian Jones, 85, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2024. He was born on September 15, 1938, in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, to Lester and Veronica (Zang) Jones.

Gary graduated from Wilmerding High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Army, stationed in Livorno, Italy, during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service, he embarked on a successful career as a manufacturing engineer. He spent forty years working for Westinghouse, first in East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and later in Georgetown, Texas, after relocating in 1974. Additionally, Gary worked for Artcarved Jewelry for six years before enjoying his well-earned retirement.

A true Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Gary could often be found watching his beloved team on Sundays, passionately cheering them on. His love for his family was boundless, and his warm personality meant he never met a stranger. His kindness, humor, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Marty Mikal Jones, of Georgetown, Texas; his children, Gary Jones and Michele Richardson of Georgetown, Texas; daughter, Aimee Behrens (née Jones) and her husband, William Behrens IV of Slidell, Louisiana; son, Jeffrey Jones and his partner Gabriela Vitui of Austin, Texas; and daughter, Vicki Jones of Blue, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Christian Jones; Veronica Carlton (née Jones) and her husband, Cameron Carlton; Derek Behrens and Melissa, along with their sons, Jackson and Cooper; Ashton Behrens; Devon Jones; Kimbery Pachicano and her husband, Arthur, along with their sons, Elijah and Noa; Kyle Koether; and Kaden Koether. Gary is also survived by his stepchildren and step-grandchildren: Jackie Mikal Kirk and Emily Bates, Kate and Analee Mikal; Cathy Barrera and Roy Barrera, along with their children, Alana, Miranda, Roy Mikal, Nicholas, and Araceli; Josie and Joe Durante, and their children, Frankie and Caroline; and Sherri Mikal.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Veronica Jones, and his grandson, William “Trey” Behrens III.
