Gregory Lynn Noske
Gregory Lynn Noske, 70 years, passed peacefully on June 16, 2023, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born in Austin, Minnesota, on January 18, 1953 to John and Linda (Weimann) Noske.
A graduate from Adams, Minnesota High School, Greg loved to hitchhike during his teenage years and traveled to Colorado and California before becoming a butcher at Knauer’s Market in Austin, Minnesota.
Greg was always handy as a mechanic and obtained his ASE certification in the early ’90s. He was Rochester’s No. 1 mechanic while at Virgil’s before moving to Georgetown, Texas. After his move, he opened his own shop and A-1 Automotive was also ranked No. 1 during his 30 years there.
During this time he obtained his pilot license and spent a lot of free time hitting the skies and seeing the world from a different angle. In recent years, Greg retired and made his home at Ingleside by the Corpus Christi Bay. There he was able to do what he loved: boat, fish, and enjoy God’s beautiful creation from his home overlooking the ocean.
He was preceded in death by his father John Noske Jr., Austin, Minnesota, in December 2005.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Noske, Rochester, Minnesota, Barbara Noske, Green Valley, Arizona, Monica Angel, San Jose California, John Noske, Gray Court, South Carolina, and Anita Gunsallus, Rochester. His children Jennifer Noske of Oregon, Jared Noske, Dallas, Luke Noske, Austin, Texas, Cora Rose, Preston, Minnesota, Shane Distad, Austin, Minnesota, and Ryan Distad, Rochester and his beloved 15 grandchildren. Memorial to be had at a later date.
