Janet Anderson

Janet Anderson, a long time resident of Georgetown, Texas, currently living in Granbury, Texas, went peacefully to the Lord on July 25, 2024 after a brief illness.  She was the daughter of Doug and Wilma Miller of Georgetown and the wife of Dennis W. Anderson.

Born in Torrance, California, on October 22, 1948, she later moved to Westport Connecticut, where she graduated from high school. She then attended Arizona State University majoring in education and graduating in 1970.  She met and married her husband of 55 years while at ASU.

Janet lived an adventurous life traveling around the world as the wife of an Air Force officer.  In addition to being a loving wife and mother, her passion for children led to a lengthy teaching career with positions in California, New Mexico, Nebraska and finally Texas. She loved collecting antiques, taking road trips, spending time with her grandchildren, and cruising the ocean.

She loved her God and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, her daughter Julie, her husband Chris of Richardson,Texas, her son Robert and his wife Amy of Dallas and nine grandchildren.  She will  truly be missed.
