Joyce Vera Nicoson passed away on August 7, 2024, at the age of 80 in Georgetown, Texas.
Born November 19, 1943, Joyce lived a life marked by love, compassion and grace. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all that knew her. Joyce was married at 16 to Nick Nicoson for 57 years who passed away November of 2016.
She is survived by her sister Janet, brother Joe, and three children - son Buddy, wife Tammy; daughter Wendy, husband William; and son LeeRoy, wife Betsy. And her partner Ted Davis, who has been her best friend and companion for the past six years.
Joyce had a passion for cooking, knitting, quilting, gardening, and the love of her grandchildren. She was only 5 foot in stature, but had the biggest heart of anyone known, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do to help others.
A funeral service for Joyce will be held Friday, September 13, 2024, at 9 a.m. at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628, followed by a light reception until 11 a.m. Joyce will be laid to rest at IOOF Cemetery, 1117 East Seventh Street, Georgetown, Texas 78626 at 11:30 a.m.
