LuAnn Howland

LuAnn Howland passed away on August 16, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the daughter of Howard Grady Howland and Helen Beatrice Stark Howland.
LuAnn grew up in the Andice Baptist Church in Texas under the close guidance of her mother, who taught Sunday school there for more than 50 years. She attended Georgetown High School, where she made lifelong friends, as she did in her community. She was a loyal friend and adored by those fortunate to know her.
LuAnn was creative, curious, and deeply caring. A talented writer and artist, she loved drawing, creating handmade gifts, collecting antiques, learning about history and other cultures, and caring for animals.
LuAnn is survived by her son, Samuel Howland and his wife Amber, and her grandchildren: Caiden Simpson, Chloe Howland, and Carson Howland.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Connie Howland Kanetzky.
Family and friends are invited to gather in LuAnn’s memory at the Andice Community Center, 6600 FM 970 in Andice, on September 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a casual, come-and-go celebration of her life.
