Mabel Ellen Jacobson

Ellen Jacobson went to be with our Lord and the love of her life on July 30, 2026 at the age of 91.
Ellen was born on August 31, 1934 in Georgetown, Texas to William and Callie (Carter) Ischy. On September 5, 1952, Ellen married Johnnie Jacobson five days after she turned 18 and spent the next 65 years loving each other. Together they had three amazing daughters; Beth, Judy, and Lisa. Ellen enjoyed a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories at their home in South Austin and later on at The Farm in Florence. In 2011, she and Johnnie moved to Round Rock where they attended Westside Church of Christ in Round Rock.
Throughout her life, she was known for her love of Jesus and Church, coffee, cats, gardening, hummingbirds, baking, sewing and crafting, working on puzzles, kindness, generosity, strength, serving those around her and compassion. Above all, Ellen treasured the family she created with Johnnie.
She is survived by daughters and son-in-laws, Beth and Ken Kolinek, Judy and David Schuessler, Lisa and Paul Davis; grandchildren Travis Kolinek, Stephanie and Paul Elder, Aaron Kolinek, Randy and Jennifer Schuessler, and Brandi and John Newberg; six great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Leland and Mary Jacobson; nine nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for the visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 on Thursday, August 6th at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel at 393 North IH 35 Georgetown, Texas 78628. Services will be held at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 7th at 10:00 am and officiated by Steven Hammond. The burial will immediately follow at Berry Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Westside Church of Christ Building Fund at 3300 FM 1431 Round Rock, Texas 78681
