Patricia Scrivener
Patricia Scrivener (Pat), died peacefully on March 11, 2025. She was 92. She was raised in Hutto, Texas, the youngest of seven siblings of Joseph and Nina McCutcheon.
She graduated from the University of Texas, and taught High School Home Economics in Lubbock, Texas, where she met her husband, Richard, to whom she was married for 57 years, until his death in 2014. They lived in Lubbock, in Rockville, Maryland, where they had their two children, Randy and Leah, and in Metairie, Louisiana, where she was also an elementary school teacher, before settling in Georgetown, Texas.
She was a good and kind person throughout her life, enjoying church, family and friends. The family expresses its appreciation to those who were her caregivers over a long struggle with memory issues and Alzheimer’s, especially to Norma Rodriguez, who was with her at home for almost nine years, and to the caregivers and staff of Georgetown Living Memory Care Facility. She is survived by her two children, Randy Scrivener and Leah Langston, a daughter-in-law, Naomi, and a grandson, Nathan, and his wife Kira, all of whom give her a standing ovation for a job well done!
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday April 5, at 11 a.m., at First United Methodist Church of Georgetown. Gifts in her memory may be sent to First United Methodist Church, Georgetown, Texas, or to Georgetown Living Memory Care Facility.
