Rebecca Ann Garner, beautiful beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2024. She was 77 years old.

Born on December 17, 1946, in Plainview, Texas, Rebecca lived a life filled with love, passion and commitment to family. She married the love of her life, Peter Garner, on July 25, 1994. Together, for nearly 30 years, they enjoyed a partnership built on love, respect, and unwavering commitment.

Rebecca was the proud mother of Sue Ann Gibson and a devoted stepmother to Kat Silva, mother-in-law to Gabe Silva. Her nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren, Jake, Dax and Taylor Gibson, and Kenna Silva. Rebecca’s joy only grew with the arrival of her great-grandsons, Ryder and Liam, whom she cherished. She took great pride in witnessing their growth and accomplishments.

Rebecca’s family was the cornerstone of her life. Survived by her brothers and their families, Ronnie and Joyce Howard, Jim and Patsy Howard. Her sisters and their husbands, LaDonna and Chuck McDonald, Paula and Greg Wade and her many cousins, nephews and nieces.

She was known for her kindness, her vibrant spirit, and her endless capacity for love. Her home was always a welcoming place, filled with laughter, warmth, and the delicious aromas of her home-cooked meals.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, her legacy of love and kindness will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Rebecca’s name.
