Roberta “Beca” Rodriguez Coronado
Roberta “Beca” Rodriguez Coronado of Georgetown, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving children. Mrs. Coronado was born to Francisco and Esperanza Rodriguez on October 17, 1934, in Georgetown and preceded in death by her parents and five siblings. She attended Georgetown High School, Southwestern University and the University of Texas-Arlington. Her career included municipal and federal public service and numerous community and professional organizations. After retirement from the City of Irving, Mrs. Coronado returned to Georgetown where she was a beloved and respected church and civic member, including St. Helen Catholic Church, The Focolare Movement, Medical Eye and Dental International Care Organizations and Williamson County Appraisal District.
For the whole of her life, Mrs. Coronado was a kind and loving daughter and parent, a steadfast friend and a dependable colleague. She always chose right over convenience and held her children closest to her heart until the end. She loved to surround herself with art, beauty and nature.
She will forever be remembered by her children Jim (Robert), Buddy (Arnold) and Patrick Coronado and Celeste Coronado Zamora, their spouses Rob Brown, Toni Lulloff, Kari Peterson and Jaime Zamora; her grandchildren Aeron, Kaleigh, Alexis, Isabella and James and great-grandchildren Cason, Emma, Hudson, Cali, Maxine and Brooks, her extended family and many friends and acquaintances.
Visitation was held Monday, Aug. 12, 2024, at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel. A funeral mass was celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at St. Helen Catholic Church.
