Shirley Martha Hanawalt, 77, passed into peace December 23, 2024. Born December 27, 1946, Shirley was known by many for her Faith in Jesus, her smile, her unending kindness, her compassion towards others and her love for her family and many pets. A legacy of Shirley that she passed down through the generations of her family is the importance of a strong work ethic and the conviction of upholding personal integrity.
She met and married Robert Hanawalt in Fort Collins, Colorado, in 1990, and they traveled throughout the country for many years in their Fifth Wheel until they settled in Georgetown, Texas, to be near family.
Shirley is survived by her children Mike Blair (Heidi) and Tracy Yardley (Keith); her grandchildren, Brady, Gabrielle, Adam, Luke, Drake and Keven; great-grandchildren, Silas and Elijah. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert.
Shirley will be greatly missed. Her wings were ready, our hearts were not.
