Theodore “Ted” T. Acheson
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Theodore T. Acheson, who left us on September 27, 2024, at the age of 78. He was born and raised in Flint, Michigan.
Ted served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969. He served in the Department of Army Photographic Office, earning the Purple Heart and being named Cinematographer of the Year by the Department of Defense in 1969.
Ted is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy, and their three children, Adam, Nathan, and Ashley. Throughout his life, Ted passionately invested his time in the Boy Scouts of America in Michigan, where he inspired countless young people. Moving to Texas in 2006, he continued his commitment to giving back, becoming actively involved with supporting several veterans’ organizations in his new community.
A service honoring Ted’s life will be held at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas, with a date and time forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ted’s memory to VMAG, directed to Ann Dobson, Director of Finance, 2 Texas Drive, Georgetown, Texas, 78633.
Ted’s unwavering spirit and generosity touched all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
