Thomas Daniel Reynolds
Thomas Daniel Reynolds, 71, of Gatesville, Texas, peacefully went to be with our Lord and Savior, on July 27, 2024, at 10:45 a.m. Tom was surrounded by his loved ones as Jesus came and gently guided him home.
Tom was born in Houston, Texas, to Thomas and Ann Reynolds on November 4, 1952, but moved to Lufkin, Texas, as a child where he grew up. Tom attended Lufkin High School and graduated in 1971. As a master machinist and tool maker, Tom worked on various projects from implanted medical devices to US government airplane engines.
Tom was a creative soul. Some of his talents included: woodworking and barbed wire artwork. Tom intertwined his love of the Lord with his love of music, which inspired him to write over 160 songs. His love of bluegrass and the hymns can be felt in his words and style.
Tom is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 42 years, Pat Reynolds. Tom and Pat met in Round Rock, and made a life together in Georgetown. Tom was a dedicated servant at Main Street Baptist Church. His favorite place was on stage with his guitar, where he would sing praises to our Father.
Tom is survived by his sisters: Connie McEntire (James), Roxanne Hobbs and Kristine Dipple. He is survived by his children from a previous marriage, Robert Reynolds and Cathy Jacobs, his children with Pat, Katie Barnes (Jonathan), and Travis Reynolds (Megan). He is survived by his grandkids: Caul, Caleb and Ryan D. Reynolds, Anthony and Sarah Jacobs, Elizabeth, Scarlett and Madeline Barnes, and Ryan L., Briggs, and Reese Reynolds, as well as his great-grandson Haven Reynolds. He is also survived by his father-in-law Floyd Chambers (Bennie), and sister-in-law, Charlotte Parker, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He loved them all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ann Reynolds, brother Ronnie Reynolds, and mother-in-law Dorothy Chambers.
