Latosha Davis was among those marching from the Georgetown square during the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. march and program held on Monday, February 19th, 2024.  The event was planned for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. national holiday, but weather postponed it until today, Presidents Day.   The march was followed by the program held at Macedonia Baptist Church, at 206 Martin Luther King, Jr. Street.

Georgetown ISD showcases student achievements at annual State of the District event

A Medieval Mingle

Gathered for their annual festival, The Stellar Kingdom of Ansteorra, a regional branch of The Society for Creative Anachronism, took part in ceremonies, food, games and education for the event on Saturday, February 3 and Sunday, February 4, 2024.

Follow the Light: Foggy days are a visual treat

After days and nights of bitter cold weather, rainfall blanketed our area Monday morning, soon followed by a dense layer of mist. Granted, foggy conditions can lead to challenging times for drivers, but for many photographers, they can transform the landscape.

Texas Photography Festival takes on Bartlett

Pistons On The Bricks, a car show and photography event, was hosted January 20 in Bartlett by the Texas Photography Festival and the Williamson Museum.  Attendees enjoyed presentations by photographers Tricia Zeigler, Egidio Leitao and Bridgett Piernik-Yoder.

Taylor's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday observance was held in the Taylor City Hall auditorium on Monday, January 15. The Reverend Dr. Anthony L. Watson, Sr.,  pastor at The First Baptist Church of Taylor, was the Master of Ceremonies.
