Williamson County nonprofits raise $1 million in 24 hours

Photos by Nalani Nuylan   Williamson County nonprofits raised over $1 million during the first Amplify Wilco Day last Wednesday, March 6. Amplify Wilco was part of the 12th annual Amplify Austin fundraiser, which is run through the nonprofit I Live Here I Give Here.

Chief among them

The 12th Annual Chase the Chief event held at East View High School on Sunday, March 3, 2024 included a Fun Run, a 5K race and a fitness fair.   Proceeds help fund grants for physical education programs at Georgetown area schools.  The two races included approximately 1,800 participants.

Gotta hand it to ‘em

Scouts from Troop 151 — chartered by American Legion Post 174 — donated food to Helping Hands of Georgetown. The Troop collected food items at their monthly meetings from the end of November through December of 2023.
