As of March 11, the measles outbreak in Texas has reached 223 cases, still predominantly in West Texas. There has been one case in Travis County from an infant who contracted the measles while on vacation overseas with family.

Following Firefly Aerospace’s successful lunar landing, Williamson County is working toward creating a new spaceport development corporation board to “provide fiscal guidance and ongoing governance” of spaceport operations in Williamson and Burnet counties.

The new Williamson County Headquarters project will cost an estimated $79.4 million, according to the Consolidated Guaranteed Maximum Price approved by commissioners February 11. Chasco Constructors is the contractor for the project.

Georgetown, Williamson County gains new coroner facility starting September

Autopsy provider Hill County Forensics broke ground on a new facility in North Georgetown near Berry Springs Park, February 6.Originally located on Rockride Lane in Georgetown, the company will open an expanded facility at 136 Market Street.
