Georgetown Art Center exhibit proposals due for 2024

Exhibit proposals for the Georgetown Art Center’s 2024 schedule are due January 31. Artists from around the country are encouraged to visit georgetownartcentertx.org/2024 to learn more about the specifications and the submission link.

Artists from Marble Falls garner attention at Healing Arts gallery

The Healing Arts Gallery is displaying original 2D works of art created by Highlands Art Gallery artists. The gallery group of over 60 Hill Country artists in Marble Falls is dedicated to the promotion and appreciation of fine art through exhibitions, workshops and demonstrations.

Large art enhances the patio landscape at Mulligan’s

Big and new artworks are gracing the walls of Mulligan’s patio gallery reflecting the theme “All God’s Creatures” in a larger format that is trending in homes and businesses. The images are sized at a minimum of 20” x 30,” making a very impressive display of photographic art.

Photo gallery opens at the Internet Cafe in Sun City

The new year is here and the Internet Cafe is opening a new photo gallery with very large framed photos on display. The inaugural hangings feature “Open Monochrome” by Jim Newkirk, Wes Odell, Carlos Rio and Glenn Rudd.

The Williamson County Art Guild is starting the New Year with a special guest speaker, David Valdez, retired White House photographer serving under President George H. W. Bush. He will be sharing his story and pictures with insights and highlights of his career.  Mr.

Hill Country Art Club works displayed at Healing Arts Gallery

The current exhibit at the Healing Arts Gallery in St. David’s Georgetown Hospital features 32 paintings from the Hill Country Art Club’s accomplished artists. For people interested in things to do, expanding their experiences and seeing good art in and about Texas, this is the exhibit for you.

Annual Georgetown sculpture tour winners announced

The Georgetown Arts and Culture Board awarded Tim Glover the first prize award in the 2022-2023 Sculpture Tour for his piece “Whirlwind.” His sculpture features a bird and a horn toad perched atop a twister.

Round Rock excellence award goes to Wilco Art Guild

Scot Wilkinson, director for arts and culture in Round Rock, presented the Award of Excellence for 2021-2022 to the Williamson County Art Guild at the recent Round Rock Arts luncheon.  Williamson County Art Guild President Rob Neff accepted the award on behalf of the guild.

Scenes of the holiday season come to Mulligan’s gallery

Both Mulligan’s galleries will offer holiday scenes starting November 29 that will remain on display until January 2. The Dine-In Gallery will feature local images from Wes Odell “Christmas After The Rain On The Square,” John Leek “The Heritage Church,” and “A Majestic Oak of Georgetown Square.
