Have you ever seen a large, brightly colored vehicle leaving the Georgetown Public Library parking lot? It is likely one of two library outreach vehicles!Currently, the library operates the Words on Wheels Bookmobile (which we call the WOW!) and the Home Delivery van (or WOW:HD).

Every year, participation in our annual summer reading program continues to grow.

Students are making their way back to school this week. Reading consistently helps prevent the summer slide, which is when students lose some of their academic skills while they are not in school over the summer months.

Bibliofiles: Highlighting the art of the city

Every other year, the Georgetown Public Library hosts a special art exhibit featuring works created by current City of Georgetown employees. The show is a chance for municipal employees to show off their creative side.

The doors of the Georgetown Public Library will be closed on Monday, January 16, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. For those looking to honor his legacy, several different organizations will be hosting activities throughout the week.
