Former H-E-B to turn into Floor & Decor

According to a permit from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the former H-E-B located at 1101 South Interstate-35 Frontage Road in Georgetown will turn into a Floor & Decor.  The project will cost an estimated $7,200,000, with construction starting May 1 and finishing in November.

Retailers look to holidays to boost business

After many of Georgetown’s downtown businesses faced a difficult summer in part due to this year’s extreme temperatures, winter festivities and promotions aim to get residents and shoppers to the Square to jumpstart the holiday shopping season.

Thrall Diner has ties to community

The old WW2 barracks between the train tracks and U.S. Highway 79 in Thrall has been used for many things over the years, but now serves as the home of Thrall Diner. “The story that I heard is that after the war, the government gave these buildings to churches,” Restaurant Co-Owner Jodie Wolf said.

Industrial development takes shape in Cedar Park

Three Austin-based real estate firms broke ground last week on a 95-acre project in Cedar Park.    New Hope Corporate Park is a 430,000-square-foot multi-phased, mixed-use project valued at $250 million and is located at the northeast quadrant of U.S. Highway 183-A and New Hope Drive.
