Senator Charles Schwertner arrested on DWI charge in Austin

State Senator Charles Schwertner, 52, was arrested in Austin early Tuesday morning, February 7, on an alleged driving while intoxicated charge. He was booked into Travis County Jail at 2:12 a.m., according to Travis County Sheriff's Office records.

Wilco sheriff investigating death of 16-year-old boy

The Williamson County Sheriff ’s Office is investigating the “unattended” death of a 16-year old Georgetown male that occurred over the past weekend, Gracie Perez, department public information officer, said Tuesday, January 24.  The boy’s name and circumstances of his death have not been released.

Three sworn in as new Georgetown police officers

The Georgetown Police Department gained three new officers Thursday afternoon, when they were sworn in by Police Chief Cory Tchida. New officers are Caleb Miller, Dakota Norwood and Dylan Wright, all graduates of the Temple Police Academy.
Ricardo Quinones was booked into the Williamson County Jail and charged with murder.

Arrest affidavit details fatal Georgetown shooting

Ricardo Quinones, 38, remained in the Williamson County Jail Monday after his December 27 arrest for the alleged murder of his estranged wife, Lindsey, 31, in her Georgetown home earlier that day.  His bail was set at $1 million.

Four arrested in possible Cedar Park ‘jugging’

In what Cedar Park police say was a likely a bank jugging incident, four Houston area men were arrested December 28 and are being charged with Engaging in Organized Crime with Robbery, a first degree felony. The suspects are John Carter, Roderick Glenn, Shawn Johnson and Rodney Wilson.
