Patriot volleyball team tops Elgin, 3-0

By Reporting Intern, Alexis Billingslea     On Friday, September 8 the East View Lady Patriots topped the Elgin High Lady Wildcats with a 3-0 win. Starting the Pats’ first set strong, Ashlyn Walther scored the initial two points with back-to-back aces.

East View health students sponsor Valentine’s Day blood drive

East View High School will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., February 14, in the school library. The drive is sponsored by HOSA, Health Occupations Students of America. All donors will receive a We Are Blood t-shirt and points they can redeem at participating restaurants.

School Notes: Chase the Chief run, Jarrell ISD job fair

Jarrell ISD will hold a Job Fair on February 11, 10 a.m. to noon, at Jarrell High School, 1100 Farm to Market Road 487. The district will be hiring for current positions and for positions at the new Double Creek Elementary School, scheduled to open in fall 2023.
